The Power of Infrared Saunas

Sweating inside a heated space transcends time and many cultures. From Roman times, to Ancient Greeks and Russians, as well as the Native American sweat lodges. The skin is our largest organ, and sweating

is one of the best elimination channels for toxins.
By sweating we activate and intensify the elimination of toxins. Infrared heat has been shown to increase endorphin levels after a sauna session. It’s also proven to be beneficial for musculoskeletal ailments, heavy metal detoxification, increase blood flow, and boosting the immune system’s cell activity. Unlike traditional saunas that feature steam or dry heat to a warm room, infrared saunas use infrared heat lamps in confined spaces to raise body temperature directly. Traditional saunas operate at well in excess of 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Infrared heat has the benefit of being effective at a more comfortable operating temperature of 100 degrees fahrenheit to 150 degrees fahrenheit, which is why it’s less likely to interfere with breathing and more manageable for
a longer periods of time. Because infrared heat penetrates human tissue versus simply heating the surface of the skin, they are seven times moreeffective at eliminating toxins. By raising the body’s core temperature, infrared saunas can product
a sweat composed of 20 percent toxins versus
only 3 percent toxins with a traditional sauna.
The powerful heat of the infrared lights promote circulation in the body, which can lead to increased metabolism, muscle and joint pain relief, boosted immune system, and of course stress and fatigue reduction. Infrared saunas may also boost collagen production and mood
especially when incor-
porating chromotherapy
lights. Chromotherapy
is the science of using
colors to adjust body
vibrations to frequencies
that result in health and
harmony. Each color
possesses frequencies
of a specific vibration,
and each vibration is
related to different
physical symptoms.

sun’s light to live, and

sure you drink plenty
of water and get an
ample amount of
sleep the day before.

or a regular, expect to
sweat like crazy. It’s
not uncommon to
sweat for up to 30
minutes following a
sauna session. After it’s
important to continue to hydrate throughout the day. Infrared saunas offer one of the most relaxing ways to break a sweat, lending you that flushed, fresh from the steam room glow that we all strive for.
